->LIBERTY -- Joan Audrey (Bartlett) Anderson, 76, of Liberty died Sept. 20, 2007, at home, after a three-year battle with lung cancer.Joan was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Lynn, Mass., the second daughter of John and Dorothy Bartlett.She was educated in Lynn schools, graduating in 1949 from English High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from The Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in 1951.Joan found employment at Camp Rotary in Massachusetts, where she met her future husband, George Albert Anderson. They were married Sept. 12, 1953, at the First Baptist Church in Malden, Mass., and celebrated 53 years of marriage.Joan is survived by a son, Robert Anderson, of Maine; daughters Carol Fitzpatrick and her husband, John, of New York, Janice Anderson, Janet Anderson-Murch and her husband, Mike, and Laurie Belden and her husband, Jason, all of Maine; son-in law Marc Couture, of Maine; and five grandchildren. Joan is also survived by Robert Bartlett and Dorothy Corporon of Massachusetts and Peter Bartlett of New York.Joan was predeceased by her husband, George; and eldest daughter Kathy Couture.In respect to her last request, a private family service will be held.
