October 5, 2006 Joan A. Johnson, 73, of Warners, died Thursday in Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse, Joan moved to the Warners area in 1954. She was the widow of Robert A. Johnson who died in 1976. She was formerly employed at Ames Dept. Store. Joan was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church of Camillus. She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed her grandchildren very much. In addition to her husband, Joan was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Johnson who died in 1962 and a grandson, Kevin Schmidt who died in 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary L. Johnson of Warners and Lisa M. (Robert) Schmidt of Liverpool; a son, Ronald Johnson of Jordan; two sisters, Frances Maier of Landsdale, PA and Linda Keough of Cuba, NY; four grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Sirena Johnson, Brian Schmidt and Steven Schmidt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Church, Camillus. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
