Jo Anne Manley Clark - SAVANNAH - Jo Anne Manley Clark, 63, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Dennis Earl Clark, went home to her Lord on Friday morning, July 18, 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Davenport, Iowa, she was a daughter of Donald Leo Manley and Geraldine Catherine Kerkhoven Manley. Jo Anne attended St. James Catholic Church in Savannah and was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Davenport. She graduated summa cum laude from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois while earning her Bachelor's in Education. Jo Anne was a high school history and social studies teacher. She loved reading, gardening, boating and anything to do with Civil War and English history. Jo Anne thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandsons. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Dennis Earl Clark of Savannah, Georgia; three daughters, Anne Marie Smith and her husband, Jason, of Solon, Iowa, Tricia Christine Clark of San Francisco, California, and Mary Rachael Lenz and her husband, Bill, of Lone Tree, Iowa; four grandsons, Joshua Scott Smith, Andrew Robert Smith, Grant Dennis Lenz and Seth Ivan Lenz; her parents, Donald Leo Manley and Geraldine Catherine Kerkhoven Manley of Davenport; four sisters, Karen Wolfe and her husband, Steve, of LeClaire, Iowa, Terese Kuriger of Blue Grass, Iowa, Mary Pat Eshelman and her husband, Dave, of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Ellen Manley-Jackson of Davenport; eight brothers, Donald Manley and his wife, Karen, and Paul Manley and his wife, Christy, all of Davenport, Brian Manley and his wife, Glynda, of Covington, Louisiana, Bobby Manley of Davenport, Matt Manley and his wife, Debbie, of Burnsville, Minnesota, Larry Manley, John Manley and Greg Manley and his wife, Tina, all of Davenport, and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The Rosary service will be held at 6 o'clock Monday evening in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, conducted by The Reverend Jason P. Adams with the family receiving friends afterwards until 8 o'clock. The Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be in Davenport, Iowa.
