She was a devoted wife, mother and President of Godwin Groves Inc. She was a member, officer and volunteer for the General Federation of Women's Club, Pan-Hellenic, Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, charter member of AAUW in Melbourne and GFWC Melbourne Junior Women's Club, Melbourne Garden Club, Girl Scouts, Canine Companions for Independence, Hacienda Girl's Ranch, Honor America Liberty Bell Museum, First Baptist Church of Melbourne and many other organizations. Survivors include her daughters, Cheri (Scott) Wright, Kimberly Smith; and granddaughters, Christine and Jennifer Wright. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene.Calling hours will be Wednesday August 7 from 4pm-7pm at Brownlie - Maxwell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday August 8, 11am at First Baptist Church of Melbourne.
