Jimmie Lee Alexander, 61, of Panama City, Fla., passed this life on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Mr. Alexander was born April 17, 1948, in Pelham, Ga., to the late Jessie and Leola Alexander. He graduated in 1968 from Campbell High School in Pelham, Ga. He later graduated Tom P. Haney Vocational Technical School and Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fla. Mr. Alexander enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in 1973 and was honorably discharged in 1977 with the rank of sergeant. He was employed as a cameraman with WJHG-7 and retired as a ranger with St. Andrews State Park. He was a member of the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Panama City, Fla. Mr. Alexander was united in marriage to the former Sharon E. F. Marshall. He was a member of Safia Shriner's Lodge 188, Empier Bethel Masonic Lodge 202 and the Knights of Pythias.Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Leola Alexander; and sibling, Loretta Alexander.Those who will lovingly cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife and children, Sharon Marshall Alexander; son, Keith (Lorna); daughters, Leatrica (Victor), Cheryl (Vincent Sr.) Trenicia (Jamie Sr.) and Kidsha; loving and caring grandchildren, Jamie Jr., Alexis, Trinity, Vincent Jr., Raymond, Victoria, Josh, Maria and Miles; a caring aunt, Martha Fillmore; a God-daughter, Curthisa Capers; loving a caring sister and brothers-in-law, Brenda Jones, Howard (Esther) and Arric (Rhonda) Marshall. Others who will share loving memories are stepbrothers and sisters, the Marshall-Masslieno family; a number of family and friends; and "Hummer," a loving pet and buddy.Funeral services for Mr. Alexander will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James McAlister officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will begin from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
