Jewell M. White, 83, Columbus, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Four Seasons Health Center, Columbus. Mrs. White was a member of First Christian Church and was a homemaker and loving mother. Born in Jackson County, Ky., she was the daughter of John and Martha Bowling Davidson, both of whom preceded her in death. On Jan. 17, 1953, in Seymour, she married Dana E. White, who preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1988. Survivors include a son, John (Brenda) White, Taylorsville; daughters, Janeen (David) Temple, Columbus, Suzanne (Edward) Baker, Jacksonville, Fla., and Sherri D. (Rick) Agnew, Columbus; grandchildren, Kimberly Trehan, Edinburgh, Melissa Heckman, Seymour, Angela and Jonathan White, Columbus, Tom and Andrew Rager, Columbus, Lori Armstrong and Chad Dietz, Jacksonville, Fla.; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. The Rev. Jon Erickson will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Four Seasons Retirement Center Chapel. Burial will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Four Seasons.
