ObituaryJewel Mae Carter Nelson, 79, of Matlacha, FL passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. Mrs. Nelson was born May 3, 1928 in Buckingham, FL, a daughter of the late Hardy and Mabel Rewis Carter. She was a former owner in the Restaurant Business and was a lifelong resident of Lee County. She is survived by her son, Tony Darby of Bokeelia; daughters, Linda Stampler of Jacksonville, FL, Candee Darby of Matlacha and Evelyn Goff of Fort Myers, FL, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.Visitation will be held Friday, May 11, 2007 from 3-7PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Private graveside services for the immediate family will be held at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
