Jewel M. Parker Smith, 54, of Louisville, died Thursday at Baptist Hospital East. She was a member of Jeffersontown Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Smith and daughter, Angela Hunter. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Parker and Courtney and Reggie Smith; a brother, Larry Parker; two sisters, Clara Betts and Dorothy Patrick; and one granddaughter, Jordan O. Martin. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at her church, 10219 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in San Diego, CA. Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. G. C.
