Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Jettie Lee Smith, 94, Attalla, who went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 31, 2009. The Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory is directing. Mrs. Smith was a proud and faithful member of Cherry Street Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice Thompson; husband, Thomas Edward Smith; and by daughter, Patricia Ann Smith. She is survived by her son, Thomas "Eddie" Edward Smith Jr. (wife, Deana), Rainbow City; sister, Janet Zucker (husband, Gerald), Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Ashby Daniels (husband, Tim), Eric Smith (wife, Tracy Rose) and Krystin Smith; stepgrandchildren, Ricky Smith (wife, Kristie), David Smith, Kandie Noah (husband, Shane) and Jason Smith (wife, Emily); great-grandchild, Ada Camille Daniels; stepgrandchildren, Myia Hope, Dalton, Austin, Addison, Kynleigh, Kyla and Bailey; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Joyce Smith. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dinkins, Bobby Brumfield, Steve Hopper, Travis Scott, Wendell McGuire and Jerry McGuire. Honorary pallbearer will be Jack Floyd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cherry Street Baptist Church building fund. Special thanks to Dr. Ayres, Lawley Premiere Hospice and Claudette Jones.
