The funeral for Mrs. Jessie Ritter Walker will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home, with Horace Stutts officiating. Burial will follow in Grassy Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday evening at the funeral home.Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.Mrs. Walker, 93, of Lexington, passed away Nov. 29, 2004, at her residence after a long illness.Mrs. Walker was a member of Lexington Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Clivous L. Walker.She is survived by one son, Robert C. Walker, of Lexington; daughters, Linda Allen, of Courtland, Ala., and Mary Roth, of Lexington, Ala.; three grandchildren, Jelina Huber, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Amy Roth and Andy Roth, of Lexington, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Hollie and Nicolas Huber, of Cincinnati, Ohio.Pallbearers will be Roger Walker, Gaylon Walker, Gerald Long, Ray Putman, Andy Roth and Harold Ritter.The family would like to give special thanks to Vielena Trapp for her loving care to Mrs. Walker.
