DAVIS, JESSIE MAE, 87, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Sacred Heart Village. She was a long-time resident at Sacred Heart Village and a volunteer for many local organizations. She was a member of Highland Park First Baptist Church. Those family members preceding her in death were her husband, Willard Oscar Davis; parents, Jesse and Eloda Yadon Sims; and four brothers, Herman, Roy, Guy and Otis. She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Darlene) and Larry (Frances); her daughter Joyce; siblings, Ethel, Owen, Carlie, Ruth, Josie, Robert and Jimmy; five grandchildren, Christopher, Darin, Rhonda, Lydia and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Declan. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will be 11 a.m. on Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery.
