JESSIE LEE DORMAN PALMER, 86Cook LAKELAND - Mrs. Jessie Lee Dorman Palmer, age 86, died of respiratory failure Wed-nesday (June 10, 2009). Born in Douglas, GA., on July 12, 1922, she came to Lakeland from there in 1939. She was a retired cook for the Polk County School Board and for Publix Supermarkets. She was a member of Ollie Road Holiness Church. She loved flowers and to do ceramics. Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her husband J.C. "Jake" Dorman; son Donald Dorman; and daughter Tammy Harrison. She is survived by her sons Willie C. (Stella) Grimes, Gene Dorman; daughters Sylvia Dorman Antonio, Ginger (Read) Peaslee; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 22 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lanier Funeral Home chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gapway Baptist Church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
