BARNWELL, S.C. - Jessie Lee Carter, 63, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Carter was born on July 20, 1943 in Lodge, S.C. He was the son of the late Blanchard and Edna Richardson Carter. He was a member of the Hagood Ave. Baptist Church, a retiree of Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site, owner of Carter's Christmas Tree Farm, and had served in the S.C. National Guard. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hagood Ave. Baptist Church with Dr. Ken Catoe and Rev. Farrell Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Saint Johns Baptist Church Cemetery at Ehrhardt, S.C. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Mole Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara June Bishop Carter of Barnwell, S.C.; son, Swain Carter of Barnwell, S.C.; grandchildren, Andrea M. Carter and Meagan E.
