Moore, Jessie L. (Leibeck) Churchville: With the same grace, dignity and courage that she lived her life, Jessie L. Moore passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2008, at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 61 years, Edgar E. Moore; her daughter, Pamela A. Moore (husband Gilbert Budd) of Churchville; son, Gary E. Moore (Ellen) and four grandchildren, Aaron E. (Ashley), Evan E. (Fiancé Laura), Melissa M. and Jonathan L., all of Concord, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy E. Pharoah; a brother, John P. Leibeck (Jean) and a brother-in-law, Donald E. Moore (Carol) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jessie was a strong believer in the importance of family, God, and the heritage of her community and country. Selflessly she dedicated her life to all of these. She was the matriarch of her family and participated in all aspects of their lives by giving encouragement and unconditional love. She did the same for all her students at RIT and BOCES II. Throughout her life, Jessie supported her country and community in the same manner. As a member of the Harvey C. Noone Legion Auxiliary, she was particularly dedicated to the work of supporting our veterans and the ideals of democracy. Jessie will always be remembered by her family with pride for her steadfast dedication to her ideals and values. Her loving care of, and for, others was her hallmark. She cared deeply for her community and her country and the gifts of her time and talent to both will be missed. Friends may call Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home, Inc., 21 South Main Street, Churchville. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 1:30 PM at St. Vincent dePaul Church, Churchville. Interment in St. Vincent dePaul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you would consider making a donation in her name to the Jessie L. Moore Veterans Rehabilitation Fund at Harvey C. Noone Legion Auxiliary, 6444 Buffalo Road, Churchville, NY 14428, or offer Masses in her memory at St. Vincent dePaul Church. www.walkerbrothersfh.com
