SMITH Jessee C. Smith, 93, died Friday, July 25, 2003. He was born in Pearl River, Mississippi and served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Smith was a longtime resident of Jacksonville were he worked with Civil Service at Green Cove Springs and Mayport Naval Stations, retiring after 47 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Ella Jean Smith, daughter, Jackie Williams (Bobby) and son, William C. Smith (Johnis), 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jean Carolyn Cadieux. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2003 at NAUGLE FUNERAL HOME, 1203 Hendricks Avenue, were the family will receive friends one hour before the service.
