-> Jesse Clayton Smith, 83, died February 20, 2006 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was born in Honeypath, South Carolina and lived in Savannah since 1961. Mr. Smith retired from Great Dane Trailers after twenty nine years of service and was also employed by Publix since 1992. He was a United States Navy veteran serving during World War II. His wife, Sadie Bleckley Smith and son, Charles R. Smith preceded him in death. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, V. Clayton and Ruth Smith of Savannah; daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and Charles Green of Shelby, NC; three sisters, Betty Brown and Jeanette Smith both of Greenwood, SC; Lilly Ethridge of Augusta, GA; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park. Remembrances: Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O.
