JACKSON, JERRY L. Jerry Lee Jackson, 77, died on June 3, 2009, at his home in Gainesville, Florida. Mr. Jackson was born in Milan, Indiana, on April 26, 1932. In January, 1936, he moved to Anniston, Alabama, where he remained until he graduated from Anniston High School in 1950. Mr. Jackson attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of the Million Dollar Marching Band, graduating in 1954. He later lived in New York and worked for Random House Publishing until his retirement. He has lived in Gainesville for the past 20 years and was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Professor Lester Paul Jackson and Hazel Lane Jackson. Mr. Jackson is survived by his brother, Robert Lane Jackson, sister-in-law, Anne Jackson, nephew, Robert Mark Jackson, and niece, Lane Jackson DeWine. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2:00pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
