CARTER, JerryOn November 20, 2014, Mr. Jerry Carter of Sherwood Park passed away at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Betty, and his brother John (Maxine), sister-in-law Donna (Fred), nephew Bart (Janet), niece Tamara (Dallas and numerous close friends and family.Jerry spent his life in aviation, starting in Fort Reliance through Yellowknife and to Edmonton. He successfully ran his own company, and in 1997 he decided to retire to the golf course and the shores of Maui. Jerry was an avid sports enthusiast, loyal to the Eskimos and Oilers, but his true passion was golfing.At Jerry's request there will be no funeral service; a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Station 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital.
