-> Denmark Community - Mr Jerry Allen Davis, 63, died Thursday at his residence following a brief illness. The native and life long resident of Bulloch County was a graduate of Marvin Pittman High School. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving as a military police during the Vietnam War. He was a farmer and an avid fisherman and hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Louise Davis of Statesboro. Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Arthur Calhoun of Milledgeville and Jane and Crawford Hendrix of Denmark, one brother and sister-in-law, Clive "Buddy" and Pam Davis Jr. of Statesboro. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00pm at the Savannah Holy Church of God with Rev. Ryan Ralston officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the servi ce. Burial will be in the Lower Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bryan County. Pallbearers will be Mark Duggan, James Duggan, Josh Lassiter, Chris Hendrix, Charlie Blair and Tony Davis.
