Jerome Richard, 85, Longboat Key, died March 12, 2002. He was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Chicago and came to Longboat Key more than 12 years ago from Flossmoor, Ill. He was a retired attorney and spent most of his career in real estate development. He was an Army captain, serving overseas during World War II in the Judge Advocate's Office and War Crimes Division. He was a member of Temple Beth Israel. Survivors include his wife, Sue; sons Scott F. of Philadelphia and Edward C. of Olympia Fields, Ill.; and three grandchildren. Services will be in Illinois.
