Jennifer-Ann-Scott Edwards, daughter of Tommy and Margie, died at 65 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Jennifer Ann Scott Edwards, 65, of 3526 Mount Holly Road, Edgemoor died Monday, Dec. 10, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. Born in Rock Hill, she was the daughter of the late Tommy Scott and the late Margie Scott of Edgemoor. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Edwards Cavin and husband Brian; her son, Joel Edwards; and four grandchildren, Ian, Jennings, Kaci and Emma Cavin. Jennifer was a graduate of Rock Hill High and was a proud member of the Class of 1965. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill, where she was an active Sunday School leader. She was also key in starting their divorce recovery ministry, New Path. Over 20 years, Jennifer directly impacted the lives of countless people struggling with divorce. In addition to working at the S.C. Department of Transportation, the last year of her life was actively devoted to the Renew Our Community (ROC) ministry. She was instrumental in organizing the resources of the ministry, raising funds and enlisting the support of churches in the community. The passion she had for this ministry came from her heartfelt desire that all people be treated with kindness, given another chance and shown Christ's love. This was evidenced across all the years of her life for all who knew her. Because of this, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ROC, P.O. Box 907, Rock Hill, SC 29731. The service will be held on Monday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Rock Hill. The family will receive friends at Jennifer's home Friday evening between 6 and 9 p.m. Online condolences may be registered at basscauthenfuneralhome.com.
