GONIC — Jeannette M. Huntress, 87, formerly of 190 Pickering Road, died Friday evening, Sept. 16, 2005, at Riverside Rest Home in Dover. She was surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Newmarket on Dec. 27, 1918, the daughter of Henry and Clara (LaFlamme) Camire. She lived most of her life in Gonic, and was a communicant of St. Leo Parish.Huntress was primarily a homemaker who cherished her family. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for the Al-Gore Shoe Company and with the Anchorage Motel in Gonic. She enjoyed solving word puzzles, and watching television. She was a kind and caring person who was always willing to help those around her.She was predeceased by two husbands, Arthur Potvin in 1945; and Ralph Huntress in 1973; and by her son, George Potvin; and her brother, Leo Camire.Family members include three daughters, Beatrice Doyon of Rochester, Rita Turner of Gonic and Doris Dyer of Rochester; four sons, Donald Potvin of Gonic, Arthur Potvin of Wakefield, Ralph Huntress, Jr. of Gonic and Bruce Huntress of Milton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.Visitation at H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo Church in Gonic.
