Jeanne Mickler Young, 80, native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine, Fla., died Aug. 18, 2010, at Haven Hospice's Roberts Care Center, Palatka, Fla. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy. She served as head of the St. Augustine/St.Johns County Chamber of Commerce for many years and served as secretary to the St. Johns County Board of Commissioners. She was the first secretary when St. Johns County Building Department was established. She later worked and retired as a secretary for Anastasia State Park.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at San Sebastian Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Walsh officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday with the rosary being said at 5 p.m. Those wishing to may make a contribution in her memory to the Sisters of St. Joseph, P.O. Box 3506, St. Augustine, FL 32085.She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Cleo Mickler, her husband Frank Young and brother-in-law, Joe James.She is survived by two sisters, Betty Shoals (Frank) and Juanita James; son, Jimmy Young (Angie); two grandsons, Jeremy (Holly) and Corey (Jena); three nieces, Carolyn Shoals, Kimberly Shoals and Danielle Mangrum; one nephew, Frank Shoals; and several great nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of the arrangements.
