Obituary of Jeanne-Marie Anderson


Jeanne Marie Bourque, age 70 of Post Road, Wells, Maine, died on Friday, February 4, 2005, at St. Andre's Health Care Center in Biddeford. She was born in Trumbull, on May 4, 1934, a daughter of Harry and Helen Gammon Anderson. Jeanne worked as a cashier most of her life and had worked at WT Grants and Ligett's Drug Store. She served as president of the Women's Auxillary of the North End Little League in Connecticut, and was a member of the P.T.A. at Notre Dame High School in Fairfield. She married John K. Bourque on November 24, 1956. After moving to Wells, she became a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Wells and was a former communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Bridgeport. Jeanne was known as a great cook and was a very proud mother of their son, Michael, who serves as a commander with the U.S. Navy. She was predeceased by a brother, Swede Anderson. Surviving are her husband of Wells, her son, Cdr. Michael Bourque of Topsham, Maine; a brother, Charles Anderson of Oxford; two sisters, Barbara Bourque of Stratford, and Shirley Newton of Milford; and one grandchild. A memorial service will be held in Connecticut in the spring at a date to be announced. Arrangements are by Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, Maine. www.bibberfuneral.com.
