Jeanne Sawyer Henderson, of 27 Ashley Avenue, passed away on April 8th at the age of 75.A native of Greenville, she was the daughter of Walter E. Sawyer and Bernice Spencer Sawyer. She was predeceased by her sister, Lenore Sawyer Gresham. She was a 1949 graduate of Greenville High School, and also attended Furman University and the University of Maryland.Survivors include Deborah Lynn Henderson and husband, Dan, Hammond, Melissa Henderson Leahy, Jeffrey Eugene Henderson and wife, Wendy Edwards Henderson. She had five grandchildren, Emily Henderson Leahy, Mark Henderson Leahy, Matthew Gerard Henderson, Zachary Blaise Henderson, and Caden Jeffrey Henderson.A memorial service is planned for Monday, April 17th, at the Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel, Woodlawn Cemetery, at 1 p.m.Donations may be made, in her name, to Interim Hospice, or the Cremation Society of South Carolina.Cremation Society of South Carolina, Greenville, is serving the Henderson family.
