Jeanne Ann Bishop, 73, of Ocean Township, N.J., formerly of Eatontown, N.J., died at home on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. A memorial gathering will be held at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad St., Eatontown, N.J., on Friday, Feb. 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. Please visit Jeanne's memorial website available at www.braunfuneral.com Jeanne was born in Passaic, N.J., to Lester and Ann Turcovsky Reed. She was a ballet dancer, a former Girl Scout leader to both of her daughters and an incredible mom, wife and grandmother. She had an inner strength and beauty that made everyone love Jeanne Ann Reed. She touched the lives of hundreds of children as a teacher at Meadowbrook Elementary School in Eatontown, N.J. Jeanne was also a communicant of the Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach, N.J., where she gathered strength and peace every week at Mass. Her faith in the Lord was unparalleled and He lovingly took her into his arms to Heaven to join Him in her everlasting life. Jeanne was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Gordon B. Bishop; two daughters, Jennifer Spencer of Wall, N.J., and Elizabeth Homer and husband, Kevin, of Sea Bright, N.J., and granddaughters, Caroline, Maddy and Julia, and her brother, Lester Reed, of Salem, Ore. Jeanne's family was the most important aspect in her life and her spirit will live on through her children and grandchildren.
