Obituary of Jeanie Smith


Jeanie (Robblee) Smith, age 92, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at the Weymouth Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Smith; and the loving mother of Paul Smith and his wife Carol of Harwinton, Conn., Donna Holzworth and her husband Donald of Weymouth, Douglas Smith and his wife Elaine of Hanson and Bonnie Bennett and her husband Ken of Tewksbury. Jeanie also leaves seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was daughter of the late Loring and Margaret Robblee. Jeanie was born in Dorchester and attended Dorchester High School for Girls. She lived in Weymouth most of her life and lived in Kingston for a few years before moving back to Weymouth. Jeanie worked at the publishing company Open Road for Boys, the First Baptist Church of Weymouth Christian Kindergarten and Sunday School, and Hammetts Educational Supplies. Visiting hours will be at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Square), South Weymouth, Saturday, March 3, from 1-3 p.m. immediately followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
