SMITH Jeanie Reid. Passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008. Born April 29, 1911 in Cowdenbeath, Scotland. Moved to Canada with her parents in May, 1927. Survived by daughters Margaret (Bill) Stunell and Josephine (Walter) Rau, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Cyril, son Stanley Beaumont, granddaughter Linda and grandson Douglas. Jeanie was a member of the Eastern Star for 67 years and was a Past Worthy Matron. She was also a member of Maple Leaf Chapter #19, of Vancouver, a Past Royal Matron of the Order of Amaranth, Dogwood Court #3, and Past Noble Grand of Maple Leaf Rebekah Lodge. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Jude's Anglican Home for their kind care during the past 3 years. A graveside service will be held.
