LOUSIVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Jeanette Minter Smith, age 78, of Highway 171 North, Louisville, died Friday, August 26, 2011, in the Heritage of Old Capital Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held 11:00AM Monday, August 29, 2011, at the Eastbrook Cemetery in Swainsboro with Chaplain Franklin Sasser officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Boatright, Carl Wagsdon, Ricky Davis, Al Thomas, Lamar Baxley, and Phil Robinson. A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Jeanette was a daughter of the late Marshall and Jenny Wyatt Minter. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and graduated with a degree in nursing from Swainsboro Technical College. She retired from the Jefferson Hospital after more than twenty years of service as a nurse. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Jenkins Smith and is survived by daughters, Darla Harris of Swainsboro and Lisa Smith of Louisville; 3 grandchildren: Daniel Boatright of Sandersville, Carla Robinson of Wrens, and Amanda Harris of Swainsboro; 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
