SMIT Jeanette (nee Dykstra), 76, of West Milford on December 16, 2007. Born in Clifton she was a longtime resident of Haledon and Wayne before moving to West Milford 4 months ago. She was a member of Unity Christian Reformed Church in Prospect Park where she was a member of their choir and also played the piano. Beloved wife of Clarence Smit. Devoted mother of George Smit and his wife Frances of SC, Clarence Smit and his wife Kellie of FL, Florence Wyder and her husband Glenn of Long Valley, Geraldine Vooys and her husband Art of Bloomingdale, Karen Joustra and her husband Paul of Midland Park, Michael Smit and his wife Donna of CT, Marilyn Vera of CA and Cheryl Moses and her husband Erik of Wyckoff. She is pre-deceased by a son, the late James Smit (2001). Loving grandmother of 25 grandchildren and great-grandmother of six. Funeral Services Wednesday 10:30 AM at Unity Christian Reformed Church, 339 North 11th Street, Prospect Park. Interment Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
