Jeannette P. Smith, 91, died Aug. 20, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. She was born in Avon Park and was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach. Before retirement, she had been a waitress at the Ocean Grill, Hilltop House, Tea Room, Rose Garden and Gables restaurants. She attended First Baptist Church of Vero Beach. Survivors include her daughter, Martha R. Mann of Orlando; son, Robert L. Smith of Vero Beach; sister, Annette Clyatt of Palm Desert, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie A. "Bill" Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Service: Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at Strunk Funeral Home Vero Beach, with a service to begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lance Francher officiating.
