Jeanette Faye Lawson, age 59, of Leighton, Ala., died Monday, May 7, 2001, after an extended illness. Mrs. Lawson was a native of Lawrence County. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.The funeral will be Thursday, May 10, 2001, at 11:30 a.m. at Greenview Memorial Chapel.Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Charlie James and the Rev. Christine Jenkins. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Survivors include her mother, Trannie Lewis of Leighton, Ala.; sons, Steven Lawson and Greg Lawson, both of Leighton, Ala.; daughters, Angela Mann of Town Creek, Ala., Barbara Bolton of Tuscumbia, Ala., and Juanita Melson of Florence, Ala.; a brother, Winston Moats of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; and 19 grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Eugene Lawson; father, Joe Moats; and stepfather, Lloyd Lewis.Pallbearers will include Tom Nichols, David Nichols, Byron Nichols, Charles Allen, Billy Allen, Jimmie Fisher, William Mann and Mike Frederick.Greenview Funeral Home of Florence is directing.
