JEANETTE TRACEY CADY Jeanette Barbara Tracey Cady, 68, of Lake Placid, Fla., was called home by our Lord Saturday January 17, 2009. Jeanette died at The Florida Hospital in Lake Placid. She was a native New Yorker, born October 31, 1940, to Mrs. Marjorie and Robert Tracey in Brooklyn. Jeanette worked as a registered nurse for a hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., before moving to Pinellas Park, Fla., in 1973. From 1973 until her retirement in 1998, she worked as a home health care nurse in Pinellas Park. She came to Lake Placid in 2000 from Pinellas Park. She worked as a mural guide for the Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce. Jeanette was a member of the St. Frances of Assisi Episcopal Church in Lake Placid. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Richard, whom she married July 10, 1973, in Pinellas Park; children, Michele Barker of Adairsville, Ga., John (Terri) Shea of Pinellas Park, Richard (Carrie) Cady of Pinellas Park, Tracy Blanchette (Paul) and Cathy (Adam) Dow, both of Lake Placid; and cousin, Alice McCann of Lake Placid. Jeanette leaves 10 grandchildren and was blessed with four great grandchildren. Memorial services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 22, at the St. Frances of Assisi Episcopal Church. The Rev. Elizabeth Myers will celebrate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Frances of Assisi Building Fund, 43 Lake June Road, Lake Placid FL 33852.
