Obituary of Jean-Virginia Pye-Thomas


Jean Virginia Pye-Thomas, 88, of Jensen Beach, FL, passed over March 24, 2010, peacefully at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, Florida.She was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. As a small child she came to Rochester, NY, where she lived until 1934 when the family moved to sunny Florida. She lived in several locations in Florida, including twenty years in Miami. Then nine years in beautiful Inverness, where, through The First Baptist Church and her Thomas Real Estate Company, Jean, Jack and girls met many wonderful life-long friends. In 1971, Jean and Jack moved to the Treasure Coast of Florida, where they instantly found Christian fellowship and became members of the First Baptist Church of Jensen Beach. Since 1971, Jean has served as their Treasurer (fbjb.com).Her husband of 37 years, Jack Martin Thomas, preceded Jean in death in 1980. Survivors include her daughters, Helen Anne Thomas and Ruth Virginia Thomas, of Jensen Beach.Jean Virginia Thomas' memorial service was March 28 at the First Baptist Church of Jensen Beach and interment followed at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, where she rests next to her husband, Jack Martin Thomas, till the Lord returns.Sign the guest book at www.chronicleonline.com.
