Jean V. Jack Clark Queensbury Jean V. Jack Clark, 81, of Queensbury and a native of Norway, NY, died on December 21, 2010, at Glens Falls Hospital. Mr. Clark was born on April 13, 1929, in Herkimer, a son of the late Jean and Dorothy (VanValkenburgh) Clark. He received his early education in a Norway country school and later at West Canada Valley Central School. Jean entered the U. S. Army in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959 at the rank of Corporal. On March 22, 1958, he was united in marriage with the former Lucille M. McLaughlin in Newport. The couple resided in Norway, Clifton Park, Tupper Lake and for the past three years in Queensbury. Jack was last employed as a mechanic with Verizon. Mr. Clark was a member of the American Legion. Survivors besides his wife of 52 years, Lucille, include seven children, Shawn Latella and her husband, Joseph, of Frankfort, William Clark and his wife, Sandy, of MI, Lou Ann Ingersoll, of Barneveld, Cynthia Hayes and her companion, Jim Bosley, of Queensbury, Lynette Coleman, of Palm City, FL, Patricia Hayman and her husband, Michael, also of Palm City, FL, and Edward Clark and his companion, Samantha, of Troy; two sisters, Rosalie Stack and her husband, Donald, of Herkimer, and Mary Finnigan and her husband, James, of FL; one brother, Thomas Clark and his wife, Joanne, of Poland; a sister-in-law, Rebecca Clark; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by a sister, Ann Canton, and a brother, James Clark. Funeral services will be held at the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Matthew Ripp, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Newport, officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Norway Rural Cemetery.
