STUART, Jean Margaret Jean was born on June 16, 1928 near Lumsden and passed away on August 24, 2009 in Regina at the age of 81. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Ken; parents, Tom and Bertha Mack and a special cousin, Ruth and her husband, Eddie Mayer. She will be lovingly remembered by Cathy Solberg and Debbie Mayer and their families; Linda and Scott Forster and children, Kyle and Kaitlyn of Regina; sister-in-law, Vivian and husband Ken Astles of Lumsden; nephew, Tony of Miami; niece, Laurie and Ken of Saskatoon. Jean spent most of her working years with the Department of Agriculture and retired in April of 1984. Jean and Ken enjoyed travelling in their motor home, spent several winters in Arizona and spent over 30 years at their cabin on Sandy Beach, Lake Katepwa with their very special neighbours. Jean enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends. At Jean's request, there will be no formal funeral, however, a Celebration of Jean's life will be held between 2:00 4:00 p.m. with a toast to Jean at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Living Spirit Center, 3018 Doan Dr., Regina, SK. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory can be made to the Dialysis Unit, Regina General Hospital, 1440 14th Ave., Regina, SK, S4P 0W5 or the Kidney Foundation, 1545C McAra St., Regina, SK, S4N 6H4.
