Jean-Satterfield Watson, spouse of Darl Watson, mother of Patti Jean, Sheila, Edith and Chrystal, died on March 10, 2014.
Jean Satterfield Watson passed away on March 10, 2014. Jean was born and raised in Blount County, Alabama and was the baby of ten children of Calvin and Rachel Satterfield. She married Darl Watson of Romney, West Virginia and they had four daughters. In 1972 Jean and her family moved back to Alabama and settled in Fayetteville. Jean enjoyed people and never met a stranger. She was always generous with her time and resources to family, friends, and anyone who needed help. Jean was always available to answer questions, whether giving health advice at Nature's Aid Center or through her ministry as she conducted many free home bible studies in the area. She never hesitated or was too busy to pick up the phone and check on those she cared about and will be missed by all. She loved clowning around with her grandchildren and especially playing softball, basketball, horseshoes and yodeling. She is preceded in death by her husband, Darl Watson, and their daughters, Patti Jean Swanson, Sheila Todd, Edith Watson, and granddaughter Kellie Todd as well as her brothers and sisters, Edward Satterfield, Roland Satterfield, Norman Satterfield, and sisters Ruth Zuber, Grace Roberts, Ellie Kilburn, Marietta Gustin and Edith Morris. Mrs. Watson leaves behind one sister, Lucille Blackwood and one daughter, Chrystal (Watson) Jackson as well as three grandchildren, Michael Cory Reeves, Stephanie (Reeves) Burch, and Caleb Darl Jackson and three great grandchildren, Kirsten Michael Reeves, Jaden Reeves and Isla Reeves and many beloved nieces and nephews. Her memorial service will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM CST at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 205 S. Oak Avenue Sylacauga, AL 35150.
