LEMIEUX, Jean-Pierre - Peacefully in Québec City, at Christ Roi on October 13, 2009 at the age of 68 Years. Loving father of Sylvain Lemieux, Mario Lemieux and Nancy Lemieux (Mario Ouellet). Cherished grandfather of Cynthia Lemieux (Gabriel), Sabryna Lemieux, Sasha Edwards and Nadia Edwards. Dear brother of Thérèse (née Lemieux) Thibault (Henri) and Irène (née Lemieux) Thibault and brother-in-law of Francine Boivin. Jean-Pierre will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Georges Lemieux and Anna Laferrière, brother Louis-Georges Lemieux and brother- in-law Léonce Thibault. A special thanks to all the staff at Christ Roi for the special care they provided him. A special thanks as well to his cousin Georges-Henri Lemieux who was his guardian angel and stood by his side when we (the children) could not. The family will receive friends at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Friday, October 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th at Église Sacré Coeur at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
