Jean Mary Walkerof Port CraneJean Mary Walker, 79, of Port Crane, went to be with her husband of 55 years, Matthew D. Walker, on Thursday, August 5, 2004, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was also predeceased by her sister, Shirley White. She is survived by seven daughters and five sons-in-law, Jean and Robert Scofield, Jr., Freeville, N.Y., Linda and Alan Rusnak, Havre-de-Grace, Md., Mildred Orr, Port Crane, Ann Marie Sweetland, St. Pt. Petersburg, Fla., Susan and Joseph Jackowski, Hillcrest, Shirley and John Wood, Port Crane, Virginia and Albert, DeAnjou, Port Crane; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. She was a native of Scranton, Pa., a member of the Port Crane Baptist Church, the Harpursville Senior Citizens and the Two Rivers Homemakers Club. Jean was an avid Bingo player.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, with the Rev. Daniel C. Baker, pastor of her church, officiating. Burial will be in Port Crane Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. There will be an open house at the Walker residence in Port Crane following the burial.
