Groton - Jean Marie Anderson, 85, of 1145 Poquonnock Road, Groton, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 23, 2015, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.She was born in Hagerstown, Md., on Aug. 7, 1929, the daughter of Samuel W. and Edith (Burrier) Hartshorne. Jean was the widow of Kenneth H. Anderson.Jean had worked for many years as a dietary aide at Groton Regency.She is survived by a daughter, Karen A. Grebenc of Summerville, S.C.; her sons, Dale Anderson of New London, Keith and Kent Anderson, both of Groton; her stepson, Kenneth Herl of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and her grandchildren, Shawn and Daniel Anderson, Amber, Brandi, and Jessie Grebenc; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service and interment will be private.Byles-Groton Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
