Jean Marie (Ackerknecht) Mack, age 78, a native of Johnstown, NY, and a resident of Robertsdale, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Mrs. Mack was the owner of Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale. She was a former laboratory technician, funeral director and deputy coroner. She was a member of the Robertsdale United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Huey A. Mack, Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Linda L. Mack of Bay Minette, AL; one son, Huey A. "Hoss" (Sherri Racine) Mack, Jr. of Silverhill; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Robertsdale United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Nunn and Rev. George Sedberry officiating. Burial will be at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale, AL. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.
