SHELBYVILLE -- Jean Lorrain Miller, 82, of Waddy, KY, died Thursday, September 11, 2003, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. She was a native of Franklin County, KY, a former cook at the old Halfway House Restaurant, a former employee of the Waddy Truck Stop and a member of Waddy Baptist Church. She was the widow of Samuel Foree Miller and the daughter of the late Adolph Russell and Oma Lee Peavler Hawkins. Survivors include her sons, Stewart Allen Miller of Frankfort, KY, and Daniel Foree Miller of Waddy; daughters, Mary Alice Miller of Stantonville, TN, Janie Fender of Calico Rock, AR, and Joyce Marie Foster of Muncie, IN; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grand-children; and a host of friends and neighbors. Her funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2003, at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home in Shelbyville, with Rev. William H. Brumley officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shelby County Public Library.
