Jean Lackey Johnson, 73, Palmetto, died Aug. 17, 2003. She was born April 3, 1930, in Manatee County and was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Palmetto Assembly of God. Survivors include daughters DeeDee Hawkins of Palmetto and Kim Shook of Highlands, N.C.; a son, Brett of Parrish; sisters Alice Wallis of Bradenton and Edna Hilton of Parrish; brothers Jimmy Lackey of Pensacola, Frank Lackey of Fort Myers, and Buster Lackey of Ellenton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, with a service to follow, at Palmetto Assembly of God. Burial will be at Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton, after the service.
