Jean Hoskins Smith, 93, of Panama City, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 7, 2012.Jean was born in Hillview, Illinois on April 13, 1918 to the late Harry and Norma Hoskins. She graduated from Illinois Western Teachers College in 1939. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1983. She was a member of Northbay Baptist Church. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Forrest E. Smith; three sons, Carroll Smith, Larry Smith and Clark Smith; and grandson, Stephen Smith Jr. Jean is survived by daughter, Judy Bonifay (Stephen) and son, Stephen Smith, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Jean was a Godly woman who will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to many. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy of a God given beauty inside and out, with her glowing smile of pure love and humility. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Hodges officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the service.
