ANDERSON, Jean Helen JenkinsAge 81, passed away April 9, 2011, surrounded by her loved ones in Nashville, TN. She was the daughter of the late William Newton Jenkins and Eula Ethel Lovell Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by brother, William "Billy" Jenkins. She will be lovingly remembered by her caregiver and devoted husband of 61 years, Robert E. Anderson, Sr.; daughters, Terrie (Rick) Welch, Sheila (Bob) Graham, Aneece (Bo) Wilkerson; son, Robert E. (Barbara) Anderson, Jr.; grandchildren, Rick (Wendi) Welch II, Misti (David) Schmutz, Wendy Welch, Lindsay (Patrick) Griffy, John Austin Wilkerson, Bobby Graham, Jr., Mason Anderson; great-grandchildren, Tate, Alexandria, and Johnathan Welch, Jackson and Dawson Schmutz; siblings, Sara (James) Redmon, Roger (Barbara) Jenkins, and Patricia Anthony. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Jean was an overall civic volunteer with accomplishments being a pioneer for Toys for Tots, where she dressed dolls for children every Christmas, in the West Nashville community. She was President of the PTA association of Nashville where she was awarded the first Lifetime Membership Award. She was an avid lover of the outdoors and especially loved fishing. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John R. Gibson, Phyllis Thornton and Medicist group for the loving care they provided. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Jean's Life Celebration, Monday evening 3-9 p.m., and Tuesday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home. The Life Celebration Service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
