NORTHPORT Jean Hardy Overton, age 65, of 6500 Watermelon Rd., Northport, died October 10, 2005 at DCH-Tuscaloosa. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Bush and Rev. Scott Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Overton, mother, Katherine Hardy, and father, T.R. Hardy, Sr.Survivors include daughters, Lisa Champion (Jeff) of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Teresa Overton of Northport, Ala.; son, Randy Overton of Northport, Ala.; sister, Brenda Cutts of Montgomery, Ala.; brother, T.R. (Bill) Hardy, Jr. of Northport, Ala.; stepmother, Edna Hardy of West Greene, Ala.; grandchildren, Andrea Mills, Kendal Mills, Morgan Mills, Clint Overton, Kaci Overton, Lauren Champion, and Nathan Champion.Jean was hospitalized for many years. Her strength, courage and dignity will always be remembered. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at DCH for their loving care of our mother and grandmother for the last ten years. A special thanks to "Nanny's Angel", Andrea for everything she has done.Honorary pallbearers are DCH staff 3rd floor, Tuscaloosa Lung and Sleep Consultants, PC, Hospice of West Alabama, and employees of Amsouth Bank (Main Branch).
