North, Rochester, 14609-5896.Jean was born October 14, 1926 in Silver Lake, the daughter of the late Herman and Grace Lockwood Hill. She graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Class of 1944. On March 9, 1969 in Fairport, she married the late Julius A. "Fred" Peterson III, he passed away on Nov. 17, 2000. She was employed for 30 years by Rochester Telephone Co. in Rochester, retiring as a supervisor in 1980. She has lived locally since 1989, previously of Lake­land, Fla. and formerly of Clifton Springs. Mrs. Peterson was a former member of the Clifton Springs Country Club and was an avid reader.She is survived by three nieces: Linda Cipolla of Plant City, Fla., Marsha Lockwood of Rock Wall, Texas and Sonya Torrens of New Jersey; two nephews: Gerald Plucker of Omaha, Neb. and Gary Preen of Perry; and many great nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by four sisters: Elizabeth Durfee, Isabelle Plucker, Lynn Wheaton and Alrene Preen; a niece, Shirley Adams; and a nephew, Douglas Wheaton.Arrangements are entrusted to the BAIRD FUNERAL HOME, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
