Obituary of Jean-F. Jackson


Jean F. Jackson, 87, of Port St. Joe Beach, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010. She was born Oct. 9, 1922, to the late James G. Propst and Mable Boyd Propst in Concord, N.C. Mrs. Jackson moved to the Port St. Joe area from Jacksonville, Fla., in 1977. She was a member of Wesconnett Methodist Church in Jacksonville, attended Beach Baptist Chapel in Port St. Joe and was a charter member of Sea Oates and Dunes Garden Club. She loved her ornamental and vegetable gardens, canning her vegetables, fishing, and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Jackson had a special passion for her beloved cat and dogs.She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Crawford Howard Jackson of Port St. Joe, Fla.; a son, James P. Tracy and wife, Janet; two grandchildren, Christopher P. Tracy and Sean M. Tracy and wife, Lucia; and one great-grandson, Michael Alexander Tracy, who was born last week.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. EST Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, in Beach Baptist Chapel, 311 Columbus, Port St. Joe, with the Rev. David Nichols officiating. Pallbearers will be Curtis Brown, Chris Tracey, Rick Godfrey, and David Richardson. Interment will be held in Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe.
