Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at graveside in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery for Mrs. Jean Everhart Henderson, age 83, of Gainesville. Burial will be in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Jones and the Rev. Charles Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, at Ward's Funeral Home. Mrs. Henderson passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008, at New Horizons West Nursing Home following a short illness. Mrs. Henderson was born on Dec. 5, 1924, in Kings Mountain, N.C., to the late Michael Everhart and Cora Mae Colbert Everhart. She was a homemaker and a member of Northlake Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her mother, Cora Mae Everhart; father, Michael Everhart; sister, Ruth E. Sims; and son, Tom F. Henderson Jr. Mrs. Henderson is survived by her husband of 66 years, Tom Henderson of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Harold Fuller of Matthews, N.C., Sherry and Garry Ivey of Dawsonville and Carolyn and Bill Simpson of Buford; daughter-in-law, Julie Weaver of Gainesville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Charles R.
