ObituaryJean Eleanor McAmblay Moore, 87, of the city of Poughkeepsie and formerly of Cape Coral, Florida and Farmingdale, New York died Saturday, February 16, 2002 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. Born on may 12, 1914, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Joseph McAmblay and Louise Woodside McAmblay. She graduated from Germantown High School in Philadelphia and attended Beaver College. On September 10, 1938 she married William Moore in Germantown, Pennsylvania. They moved to Farmingdale, New York where they raised their five children and upon retirement they moved to Cape Coral, Florida where they were active in the Faith Presbyterian Church for many years. William Moore died on November 19, 1955 in Florida. Jean is mourned by her children Virginia Moore of Poughkeepsie, William Moore of Richmond, Texas, James Moore of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Roger Moore of Germany and Barbara DeSiena of Bearsville, New York. She will be missed by her grandchildren Tony of Poughkeepsie, Julie Kelly, Scott Moore and Gregg Moore of Texas and Lizabeth and Ace DeSiena of Bearsville. The family will hold a memorial service for Jean in the future.
